Man does not live by contests and prizes alone. Some days you need to have beer. Most days really. And what better beer to have than Founder's take on wet hopped IPA brewed with undried hops rushed from the field upon picking to the boiling wort. A seasonal released just a few weeks ago. Orange straw beer with a thin white rim and foam.
On the nose candied tangerine, apricot jam and a bit of heat from the 7% strength. Rich bodied creamy in the mouth with more of the tangerine/apricot, green weed hopping, a little menthol near the creamsicle ending. An excellent and fresh tasting brew.
The sweetest thing are the floaties, shown left. Click for bigger floatie action. When I got this beer at Bello Vino, Jeremy held it up to the light and pointed out that the sludge is not yeast - it's hop glom. Tasty hop glom. All the BAers agree.
