I don't know about this Brewery Focus idea. It's getting so unfocused. The other posts for Bells are here and here - but that was a couple of weeks ago. Have I pushed the limits of blogging? Could I get a life and just get on with the review?
The name of the beer along with the picture of the fish remind me of that Hemingway story "Big Two Hearted River" about a guy who fishes...and if I ever read the back label I would know the brewery thought of that, too. Hemingway. He liked beer. Anyway, the beer pours a slightly peachy light amber under fine sheeting white foam and rim. It smells of pine tree and pink grapefruit rind. It smells good. I thought about the beer more as I drank. There were tastes that reminded me of home. And Italy. When I worked for the Red Cross. More pine and grapefruit but more. Pear. Apricot. It is good. I wondered if thinking about apricot in beer was good. What would Anselmo think? Seven percent. About as many who survived the last battle in the woods. Spicy. It reminded me of the stew Anselmo made that day, though it was nothing like it.
BAers think it is good. It is good.
