Another hefeweizen to add to the research project.
This beer pours cloudy orange caramel with white rim. Fairly twiggy hops presence over creamy wheat ale with notes of orange and/or lime, banana and allspice more than clove. I think that twigginess places it behind Butternuts' Heinnieweisse for me in the domestic hefe competitions. It isn't overly strong but is just rough enough that I have this feeling I am dealing with the dreaded Mt. Hood hop. I should not have that feeling with a hefe.
BAers only give it 2/3rds of a yup.

It is a bit of a misnomer, because it's really an American wheat under BJCP guidelines. I have never been impressed by it either.
