OK, we floated the idea of the best of 2006 a little while ago but if I know one thing about beer blog readers, I know they love their swag. I was lucky enough to have lunch yesterday with Peter Bryant, COO of the Sackets Harbor Brewing, maker of one of my favorite ales, Thousand Island Pale Ale and he dropped off this huge store display ship - and I immediately thought of you. It's a promotional piece for the brewery's flagship 1812 Amber Ale, yet to be reviewed. And, yes, that is a basketball.

So, who ever gives us the "best of beer 2006" story before the end of Friday, 5 January 2007, gets the ship. It'll stay in the box and get the full popcorn treatment for the shipment. And this is a global alert. We ship to all corners of the planet.
