A Good Beer Blog

Have you read The Unbearable Nonsense of Craft Beer - A Rant in Nine Acts by Alan and Max yet? It's out on Kindle as well as Lulu.

Maureen Ogle said this about the book: "... immensely readable, sometimes slightly surreal rumination on beer in general and craft beer in particular. Funny, witty, but most important: Smart. The beer geeks will likely get all cranky about it, but Alan and Max are the masters of cranky..."

Ron Pattinson said: "I'm in a rather odd situation. Because I appear in the book. A fictional version of me. It's a weird feeling."

Eh. At least the main character isn't conveniently an ad executive (as they usually are in movies such as these) as to enable incessant product placement. Though I guess the plot for this one would allow for more than a few Bud and Heineken logos to make poorly disguised appearances.

But, getting to your question. I question how much the "good beer" will be the focus of the film, but I see your point. However, anyone who is drinking good beer because it's a cool thing to do has never really been on board with it in the first place. There will be a day when good beer loses its street cred and the trend seekers move on to something else. But anyone who is truly enjoying good beer is enjoying it because they like how it tastes.

Ron Livingston was in Band of Bothers, and after that miniseries came out WWII memorabilia and collectibles skyrocketed in price. That's all I'm saying.

Okay, one more thing—Olivia Wilde is hot.

There, I'm done.

I was waiting for you to get to your actual point. ;-)
