The computer I have typed out my blabbery hereabouts is a blank dead thing. But I don't really care. Bought it in 2007 or 2008 on a trip to the US when I saw the sticker price that said $299. I remembered that when it went blank today. Works out to not a lot for a fair bit of time.
Time. B+B asked - in their self-serving soon to be published authors of a mod-ren history of beer in their UK - about early BrewDog recollections. It got me hunting through emails, googlechats and posts from the time, especially those with that Jeff who was Stonch who is now a satisfied man running a great pub. [I should place a trans-Atlantic call right about closing someday.] And there it all was. In November 2007, months after opening, they pledged a prize for the Xmas photo contest that I then ran with Stonch. A year later, I was getting sample packs in the mail. It seems long ago that Jeff and I sent instant message chats about ensuring advertisers treated him in the UK the same as I was treated in the North American market. Years since we wrote about the 2007 UK beer blog explosion. Years since advertisers thanks to Google. I used to joke that I would end up as the 8-track player in the phenomena. Maybe I did.
But... it matters not. Whatever this medium is, it does the trick. Had a pleasant Berliner Weisse and a cask IPA this evening and, now that I've reported out on that, isn't that enough?
