Not a complex beer cocktail. Just fresh raspberries in Gueuze Cuvée René from Lindemans, the gueuze that our monopolistic overlords allow us at least in the summer. The nice thing about raspberry is that it has a lot in common with gueuze. Dry acidity. OK, that is about it but it's not like I am stirring in a tablespoon of peanut butter. OK? The thing is it looks pretty nice, it's a better take than raspberries and champagne given the lack of biscuitiness in gueuze and... they sure look pretty.
So, is this a cocktail or even something all you all have been doing for years but not telling me about? Or is it an abomination? Sure is chewy at the end - but it is a good chewy.

I always thought a cocktail had to contain a spirit, but I guess that definition has changed to just alcohol. I like that idea that it is an immature framboise. Looks tasty.
