A Good Beer Blog

Have you read The Unbearable Nonsense of Craft Beer - A Rant in Nine Acts by Alan and Max yet? It's out on Kindle as well as Lulu.

Maureen Ogle said this about the book: "... immensely readable, sometimes slightly surreal rumination on beer in general and craft beer in particular. Funny, witty, but most important: Smart. The beer geeks will likely get all cranky about it, but Alan and Max are the masters of cranky..."

Ron Pattinson said: "I'm in a rather odd situation. Because I appear in the book. A fictional version of me. It's a weird feeling."

Isn't this what they did with those pub reviews in England over on B&B... mention everything else but the beer.

I'd take the review as, if I was looking for a place to eat... skip. If I was looking for a place for beer (of the non-macro kind) and sports... possible.

“brew pub with the wait staff with the shortest uniforms.” is good information too.

Maybe the reviewer was being kind...after all just because a place brews their own beer doesn't guarantee that the beer is going to be particularly noteworthy.
I love a good brewpub and am always excited to find a good one in my travels.
But I've been to a few myself where the food was their saving grace, and a decent wine list gave me something to turn to after a lousy pint...
