I like this stuff. This take on altbier pours a light chestnut under a cream foam and frothy rim. Very nutty aroma. In the mouth, steely green hops hover well above a mouthful of sweet nut and caramel apple butter malt. Meaty even. Black tea dry finish. Seeing as it is a summer seasonal, I have to hope there'll be a few casks left for this year's version of Oktoberfest. I am volunteering with their version of Beer School and have to tell you that there is a super surprise connected to it. Pretty much a super duper surprise. A national first. A continental sensation. Intercontinental even. I am all a giggle at the thought. Has not been announced yet. Soon. Not yet. It will be cool. You should show. You really should.
