A Good Beer Blog

$45? Ouch. Is it 69% as good as the Oxford Companion?

Well, I spend a lot on beer books so the $50 bucks CAN that I spent is part of the flow. That $30 book on 1500s and 1600s fishing off Newfoundland to confirm imports of malt was way more tangential.

What I like about it is that it takes you out of the known beer writers into another realm. I joke about the Tremblay work but it is fascinating to have someone go over US trends without the overlay of Brewer's Association PR crap.

I would enjoy that book. <sigh.>
