I pulled out a Blanche De Chambly because it was handy. The results look polarized but they are also federalized in that the Quebec separatists have been rejected. Not nationalists... just separatists. And after 7 years of minority governments, well, the Prime Minister for the last five years finally earned to ride the bike without his training wheels on. But, most of all, the nutty socialists win over a third of the house. Yet they are nice socialists. Fiscally responsible boring Canadian ones.
Not beer related otherwise. Keep your stick on the ice.

I had a Sierra Nevada Glissade even though I had no idea it was election night in Canada! Good luck to all the candidates and apparently, may the best nutty socialist win. On another election topic, I've heard a confirmed kill of the most vile man since Adolf Hitler, might help to get some votes, down the road, as well.

I attended an ESB tasting with five fine local beer folk. Unfortunately, most of the evening was spent attempting to wring some humour out of the election results coverage amidst a general sense of disappointment and dread.
The ESBs were ok.
