Remember. Do not call nice people who help you mules even if you mean it in the nicest way. I will make amends in fluid form but, seriously, just don't. Ever.
The lovely and kind couple that brought me treats from Prague in January slipped two of these lovelies into the swag bag. The aroma is all sweet malted fruit: Golden Delicious apple and apricot with a headiness from the strength. It pours a lovely aged pine with a thick lacing fine white head. In the mouth, smooth honey with a lovely rough herbal hopping that frames the richness. At 7.5%, it's a sipping lager but one that is a revelation. Sort of a medical herbal candy thing happening. But bread crusty, too. Perfect in one of the tiny treasure trove.
Shamefully tepid respect from the BAers.

Recognised by its peers though, it was named the world's best lager in 2008 at the World Beer Awards. The same year Primator were awarded world's best dark lager and came second in the weizen category. Apparently their 24 degree "Double" is available from Bruisin' Ales in North Carolina, under the name Doppel Bock.

Another crime from the BA frat-house — most of whom are but one step removed from your average youtube commenter.
Most BAers rate beers for the purposes of flagging their own sophisticated tastes and conquest of consumption. The ones I know personally I'll trust, but I generally avoid their opinions and the inherently faulty rating system they use.
If you like it, I'll drink it.
