Lew told me to have something new - which is just as well as I have reason. Forty-eight of them as of today. Sad to think a third of my life has passed me by already.
It pours cloudy gold with a thick rocky head that resolves to a persistent white froth and rim. The nose is quite amazing. Lemon juice, cardamom, white pepper mainly for me. In the mouth, it's all earthy zesty big. A dry grainy roughness adds to 9.5% meeting an aged bitterness reminding me of Poperings Hommel Ale but also an acidity that is a nod towards the experiments of Fantome. Through all that there is that creaminess that I like to find in a wheat beer and seem to find in less than half. Complex but not like a relationship that's going nowhere.
BAers have the love.
