I suppose I better gear up for another onslaught of Yuletide beer photography and copntest award gathering. Heck, it's two months to Christmas tomorrow. And this will be the fifth edition of the annual contest. I can't believe it but it is true - it all began in 2006. If you want to read all the contest posts through the years, fill your boots. That is last year's winner up there taken by Kim Reed of Rochester, New York.
I have a few prizes already gathered over the year. An autographed set of Pete Brown's books as well as a few from the mighty pen of Ron Pattinson. There is an XXL Portsmouth Brewing t-shirt as well as a bunch of other stuff. We'll hit up the prize giving supporters in the past as well but if anyone reading is wanting to join in, well, feel free to let me know you are interested in adding to the loot bag. I will have to think of this years rules but, for now, let us all be cheered by the coming season of photography and joy.

Shipyard in Maine sent me a tent a few years back (it apparently counts as clothing in North America). I look forward to 2010's photography and joy.

Do collages count? I am working on a pastiche of 31 dirt piles.

How will we know there are 31 component parts to the pile of piles?
