It is quite odd what can be thrown about as beer thought on any given day. Consider this:
Mr Protz said that Britain was now the undisputed top brewing country in the world.
Surely a misquote. But there it is in The Times in an article about the newest release of CAMRA's Good Beer Guide.
How very odd.

Absolutely not. And I don't even see the need to try and assert such things. If you were to have a debate about it, some people would argue that it was, others would disagree, all would have valid points, and hurrah for the difference and diversity I say.

Pete, kind of ironic considering you just helped running a Beer World Cup to find out which country makes the best beer in the world :D
Anyway, I agree with you. Absolutely not.

I asked Roger directly about his comments and received clarification. Details in my latest post: http://worldofbeer.wordpress.com/2009/09/12/%E2%80%9Cundisputed%E2%80%9D-is-rarely-so/

Good god, Alan, I've just agreed with you!
