A Good Beer Blog

Isn't it obvious? Whoever comes up with the best idea for the next contest wins the contest.

Brilliant! And also putting you no closer to winning the prizes... WHAT? Of course it does... or does it? My head hurts.

I suggest you consider running a "best beer description" contest... I'm sure I'm not the only one who is amazed at the skills exhibited by some of the beer 'afficianados' that post a description of their latest beer tasting experience on various websites for others to learn from and enjoy. Some of them write pure poetry...while others should definately not drink and write. There appears to be no limit to the creativity some people show while describing the essence of a single sip, quaff or chug of ale. For example, "Nose of dark fruits, some spices, and perhaps a bit of banana. Notes of malt sweetness, raisins and prunes come across on the palate, accentuated by a spritzy carbonation that allows the aromas and tastes to greet the palate with force. Finish is dry, with just a hint of lingering sweetness..."

I think this would be interesting and fun for both the contest judges and fans of this blog. (I only suggest you make sure to put a word limit on the entries... some of us have jobs to do)...

This would be hard, but the winner would be truly worthy. Do a beer review, but don't name the beer. Maybe give a few hints but see who can come closest to guessing the beer's name! Maybe a picture of the beer in a glass for everyone to see, but not the bottle or label. Name that beer!
