It's a good question: what to do? One to think about over a quality imperial stout. When I started blogging almost five and a half years ago, I thought I wouldn't have much to say after a few weeks. We are now 6,116 posts later, putting the two blogs together, and, yes, I may not have much to say. Yet, as another anniversary of undergrad starting slipping by and with a frost warning for neighbourhood, it makes you wonder what's coming up next.
Well, there will certainly be the third annual Christmas photo contest which means starting to beat the bushes for prizes...for you...never for me. There's a trip to Michigan and another to the Canadian Maritimes planned, too. And, hopefully, the fall book releases will have some new beer scribblings to review. But what else? We've had sour beer studies and celebrations of porter season. But what next? What next?
What would you do? Break out the home brewing equipment and try for that brew that finally expresses the essence of bacon or hits one million IBU? Or should I switch to Finnish to really meet your needs? What do you want anyway?

Wow. 5 and a half years and 6000+ posts? That's more than I can imagine ever posting in 20 years. Grats on your longevity so far. It takes real dedication to last that long blogging and still have the desire to share what you know. Keep up the good work.

I seem to remember an old saying: "If it ain't broke..."
I'd like to see several homebrewers use the exact same recipe and ingredients to make the same beer and then compare them. I doubt they'd taste the same.
I'd like someone to tell me where I can find Faro.
I'd like to read interviews with brewers about the biz, brewing and such
Keep doing what you're doing, it's great.

Investigative beer journalism. Is it true that they add artificial sweetener to Coors Light? Imbibing minds want to know!

Wow - I hope I didn't set off a whole industry-wide wave of introspection leading to MillerCoors bailing on beer blogging today.

I think it's great, too. And mega kudos on the number of posts!
It sounds like you do, but you could include beer trippins'. You know, if any of us goes on a beer tour, we could blog about it.

Well of course I would enjoy something homebrew related.
Don't change this one thing though. Your writing. I like how your personality shines through in this blog :-)
