The bottle proudly reminds us of Rogue's support for its local aquarium: "a portion of the proceeds of the sale of this ale supports the Oregon Coast Aquarium and its mission to expand our understanding of the oceans." I have to confess that I share experience of aquariums that a pal noted - I get hungry and start looking for the tartan sauce. But not for otters or even the seahorse, featured on the pale ale offered a couple of years back in the same cause. Seahorse Pale Ale, it turns out, was their Yellow Snow Pale Ale without the juniper berries. Very likable stuff. This brew is Sea Otter Amber is a special bottling of Rogue's American Amber Ale so I don't know if I would have dropped the $5.99, though to be fair - especially to me - I really like their AAA.
Goes well with seafood particularly well.
