A simple can that I hadn't noticed before at the LCBO. I'll try anything once. I also hadn't noticed that it was contract brewed by Hockley Valley Brewing - though I think when the label says "Brewed for Midland Beer Works by Hockley Valley Brewing Co." that really isn't contract brewing so much as designer brew or co-operative brewing...or some such thing. But as Hockley Valley makes an excellent stout and an excellent dark - both of which give great value - who am I to question?
Aged straw beer under snow white rim and foam, there is plenty of rich roundness in the mouth plus grassiness and a semi-helles-esque glyceral texture that is not without references to Genny Cream...and a better Genny Cream than Genny Cream perhaps. Minerally and a little sultana sweet but not a wow. BAers are less kind.
The can says "Drink Ice Cold!!" but I did not. I may well recommend doing so.

Just tried your beer and found it a nice change and have told my boss about it for when we open our bars in Wasaga Beach this summer!
