A Good Beer Blog

Have you read The Unbearable Nonsense of Craft Beer - A Rant in Nine Acts by Alan and Max yet? It's out on Kindle as well as Lulu.

Maureen Ogle said this about the book: "... immensely readable, sometimes slightly surreal rumination on beer in general and craft beer in particular. Funny, witty, but most important: Smart. The beer geeks will likely get all cranky about it, but Alan and Max are the masters of cranky..."

Ron Pattinson said: "I'm in a rather odd situation. Because I appear in the book. A fictional version of me. It's a weird feeling."

Troy -

It was indeed a great night and it was great to finally meet you face to face. Beers next time in your neck of the woods.

At what time did you stop in at Church Key? I was there around 1pm-ish - I was with my wife and her sister on the porch enjoying those samples (we're all mid to late 20s), and a bunch of cars had just arrived for a tour. I subscribe to your site, so it would be funny if you and I saw each other - like two ships passing in the night and all that.
I enjoy the site, keep up the good work.

I was a little later - maybe more like 2:30 pm. It was really busy but I guess that was my first Saturday visit. Glad you like the blog.

I think that it may have been us actually. We left Peterborough a bit after 1, so we probably got to the brewery by 2, and definitely lingered over those samples! Small Ontario.

To be fair, I believe that you called yourself cranky (or something similar) first, and I just agreed. ;)

Good to see you again. Sounds like you had a good post-party at beerbistro as well.

Alan -

Oh yeah, that's it. But we were quite firmly in agreement in the point. On the after par-tay, been many a year since I shut down a place. Phin was most pleased with the walking around the streets of a foreign city listening to me say "I think it's just down here..." 27 times at 3 am as I hunted for the hotel.
