As the day dawns over North America, it is hard to control the excitement that is gathering for the Beer Blog Photo Contest - Yule 2007 edition. So far the response from brewers, publishers, trade organizations and folks around the office has been overwhelming. We received this note from our sponsors Ontario Craft Brewers sent this message:
...please count us as IN – we would donate a gift basket which is typically valued at $150-200 and would include a mixture of OCB t-shirts, glassware, posters, bottle openers.. lots of fun SWAG! These gift baskets are custom made and ALWAYS very well received!Swag! Swag!!! That lyrical word, those four letters of joy. We are going to have to have a good think about shuffling around all the great prizes that are going to be on what we now call "The Big Board" - a 20 x 30 foot screen at the end of the rec room that is ready to tally entries and prizes on a real-time basis. None of that phony time for this contest.
Expect more announcements. Send entries. Get prizes. And tell us what prizes to go after. What do you want to win? After all, Christmas time's a comin'.

No problem - and sorry about the delay in posting the comment. We are having spam issues.
While these things are being developed in "real time" as well, this is a wide ranging contest. Any photo related to beer or brewing is accepted and submissions are unlimited. Send them early and often. We will take the submissions and post them as they come in. Also, the prize pool is being expanded so we may go to sub-categories to make sure we are maximizing the Yule for you all.

Well, a good picture of a bee on a hop vince would go down nicely as a theme for a photo so not too far away from the topic.
