Our pal Greg Clow at Beer, Beats and Bites and Taste T.O. let me know today about another great web event that beer bloggers are invited to get involved with called Menu For Hope - and best of all it is for a great cause:
It's December 10th and raffle tickets are officially on sale for the many wonderful prizes donated to Menu For Hope. This annual event raises funds to help a school lunch program in Lesotho. All funds are collected through an online fundraising site called Firstgiving. To participate, follow the instructions below. You can purchase raffle tickets for $10US each, and indicate which prize you’d like to bid on. Draws for the winners take place on December 21st.Fabulous and, really, sort of thing that the web should be more about. The good folks at Taste T.O. have put together a prize package for the Toronto donors draw but there's plenty more for anyone around the world to think about getting under the Christmas tree after giving a good sized donation to a good cause. So after you have thought about your photo entry for the Yule 2007 Photo Contest extravaganza, think about giving something back, too.

Thanks for the plug, Alan.
And as I mention in that same post, I'd like to get a bunch of beer bloggers organized to participate in Menu For Hope next year, since the whole idea is for food & drink bloggers to get cool prizes together and raffle them off. There's a bunch of wine bloggers who have been involved the last couple of years, so we should get in there and show 'em what we got.
