Interesting news about Oskar Blues, the makers of the ever excellent Old Chub and Dales Pale Ale...not to mention their dandy new brew, the rich double IPA Gordon, a can of which I have around here somewhere:
Oskar Blues Inc. of Lyons plans to open a second Colorado brewery and double its beer-making capacity to accommodate recent growth. The beer maker has leased 18,000 square feet of space in a former Packaging Resources Inc. building in Longmont, where it will brew and package all of Oskar Blues' canned and kegged beer. The company's existing, 2,400-square-foot Lyons brewery will continue to make beer for its brewpub there.Oskar Blues is a leader in the craft canning movement and, while its immediate capacity may be doubling, their plans must be for much more as they are moving into a space over seven times the size. Good news.

Here's hoping they don't expand too fast. Speaking as the selfish beer nerd I am, I hope to keep them to myself for at least a little bit longer. And the food is pretty good too.

Anyone know if they will have a tasting room at this new brewery? That would be great as I live stumbling, er walking, distance from there.
