A Good Beer Blog

-------

Have you read The Unbearable Nonsense of Craft Beer - A Rant in Nine Acts by Alan and Max yet? It's out on Kindle as well as Lulu.

Maureen Ogle said this about the book: "... immensely readable, sometimes slightly surreal rumination on beer in general and craft beer in particular. Funny, witty, but most important: Smart. The beer geeks will likely get all cranky about it, but Alan and Max are the masters of cranky..."

Ron Pattinson said: "I'm in a rather odd situation. Because I appear in the book. A fictional version of me. It's a weird feeling."

Alan -

That being said, I have had two more academic text publishers confirm that I am getting review copies of beer related works which I will share with you in upcoming weeks. I clearly need to get the brewers talking with beer book publishers about the bounce a blog can offer.

Paul Charlesworth -

Check the UK website. It is a lot less expensive over there, even with shipping.

Paul Charlesworth -

Sorry, my mistake, that was a different book.

Alan -

Luck may be on my side as an email to Professor Unger has led to his recommendation being sent to his publisher for a review copy to be forwarded this way.

Alan -

And it worked!
Dear Mr. McLeod,
Thank you for your review copy request of 28 December 2006, for a review copy of "History of Brewing in Holland, 900-1900" by Richard W. Unger, which was forwarded to me by Professor Unger.
I have permission to honour your request, but unfortunately your request does not mention the address that the review copy should be send to. Therefore would you please be so kind as to provide us with your address and we will sent you the review copy as soon as possible. Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Yours truly,
