Expresso foam head laying languidly over the blackest of ale. Dry licorice and minty hop. Below that there is malt - both roasted and rounded. The label calls this sweet stout but it is not. It is silken as the style requires and the oats provide. Soft water and a lingering nuttiness in the coffee finish. I imagine there is a place west of the Rockies where this is 2.99 a quart at corner stores. That would be a good place.
