A Good Beer Blog

Have you read The Unbearable Nonsense of Craft Beer - A Rant in Nine Acts by Alan and Max yet? It's out on Kindle as well as Lulu.

Maureen Ogle said this about the book: "... immensely readable, sometimes slightly surreal rumination on beer in general and craft beer in particular. Funny, witty, but most important: Smart. The beer geeks will likely get all cranky about it, but Alan and Max are the masters of cranky..."

Ron Pattinson said: "I'm in a rather odd situation. Because I appear in the book. A fictional version of me. It's a weird feeling."

The "Here's to Beer" site is pretty cool. You can view the 30 second and 60 second commercials. I am very excited about the reinvigoration of beer sales...

"Slainte!" literally means "Health!" And the reply is "Slainte Maith!", or "Good Health!" (Pronunciation: SLON-cha MAA)

now if AB would brew some GOOD beer. I'm all for "good beer" advertising and the site is awful nice but you won't fine myself anywhere near the Bud/Nascar/swill chugging thinking about beer.

Alans bring up a good point that the site doesn't say much about the proliferation of microbrews...something i think it needs.

But going back to the site, do you guys have any ideas on how to make it more interactive? What would you want to get out of it? How would you guys like to see the micro-brew culture infused?

I'm really pushing to include an all-inclusive forum...or blog...or something to create discussion between beer lovers, brewmasters, and everyone in between.

Let me know what you guys think...

The guy who says "Prost!" is my future husband. He just doesn't know it yet.

The lads at Brookston note the month's long hibernation of Here's to Beer. Is it now a matter of "There Was To Beer"?
