A Good Beer Blog

Have you read The Unbearable Nonsense of Craft Beer - A Rant in Nine Acts by Alan and Max yet? It's out on Kindle as well as Lulu.

Maureen Ogle said this about the book: "... immensely readable, sometimes slightly surreal rumination on beer in general and craft beer in particular. Funny, witty, but most important: Smart. The beer geeks will likely get all cranky about it, but Alan and Max are the masters of cranky..."

Ron Pattinson said: "I'm in a rather odd situation. Because I appear in the book. A fictional version of me. It's a weird feeling."

Baba Beer -

That's a beautiful looking stash... I need to replenish mine

I have a Hot Shot ESB and a Titan IPA in my fridge from the last Great Divide 12 pack I bought, and it's great stuff. But seriously, "If you like lager you likely won't like an ESB or IPA and if you like those the lager is likely just a waste of space"? I like it all and I definitely would appreciate a mixed twelve pack that had a good pilsener or a bock in it . . .

That was the inner me speaking. I never like the lager thrown in - except for Paper City's come to think of it.

Knut Albert Solem -

It is interesting to note that the Great Divide beers also were available at a big beer festival in Copenhagen a month ago, and they were very well received.I might pick up a few bottles the next time I am in Copenhagen, but they are very expensive. 65 Danish kroner in a country where you find discount brews for 2 kroner and more interesing beers for 5-10.

(back from my holidays and posting over at my blog again. I'll have something for you as well soon, Alan.)

Holy Moly! 65 kroner! Even at 20 cents Canadian per kroner, that is about as much per bottle as it costs per case in the eastern USA.<p>And by the way, while you are in Denmark, ask them about Hans Island for us...
